Client Management Guide
For law firms managing multiple clients and cases
To add a new client to your ShieldForge dashboard:
- Navigate to the Clients page from the sidebar
- Click the "Add Client" button
- Enter basic client information (name, email, phone, address)
- Select the client's primary jurisdiction/state
- Add any initial notes or case details
- Save the client profile
Once created, you can send the client a secure link to complete their intake questionnaire.
Each client profile includes comprehensive information management:
- Contact Info:Name, email, phone, physical address
- Jurisdiction:State of residence for legal compliance
- Case Status:Active, pending, or completed cases
- Documents:All generated documents linked to client
- Notes:Internal notes and communication history
ShieldForge organizes client work into cases, each representing a distinct estate planning engagement:
Creating Cases
From a client profile, create new cases for different estate planning projects (initial plan, trust amendment, LLC formation, etc.)
Case Workflow
Track cases through stages: Intake → Questionnaire → Recommendations → Documents → Execution → Completed
Document Association
All documents generated for a case are automatically linked and organized under that case
Quickly locate clients and cases using the search and filter tools:
- Search Bar:Search by client name, email, or case number
- Status Filter:Filter by active, pending, or completed
- Date Range:Find clients by creation or last updated date
- Jurisdiction:Filter by state for jurisdiction-specific work
ShieldForge provides branded questionnaires for efficient client intake:
- From a client's case page, click "Send Questionnaire"
- Choose from standard templates or create custom questionnaires
- Client receives a secure link via email
- Track questionnaire completion status in real-time
- Review responses and approve for document generation
